York Technical College Building C Renovation
High impact from a few thoughtful design moves. The subtlety of scaling rather large facade into nice proportions.
High impact from a few thoughtful design moves. The subtlety of scaling rather large facade into nice proportions.
Anticipating its fiftieth anniversary, York Technical College embarked on its first comprehensive master plan. After rebranding, first on the list was renovations to the front of “Building C”, the campus’s first, most prominently sited building. The architects who had completed the master plan were again selected for this project. Sprawling, one-story and windowless, Building C was a dreary remnant of outdated pedagogy situated at the campus entry.
