Project One Public Toilets
The pops of yellow and the contrast between concrete textures are marvelous details. I love how that graphics have been incorporated into the architecture in a meaningful way.

This small project was commissioned by the City of Greenville in response to a booming downtown pedestrian environment with a little problem: a shortage of public restrooms. The design intends to relate to the surroundings in modern form and materials while offering a fresh and fun addition to the area. Poured concrete, in smooth and board-formed textures, is used for context as well as durability, and pops of bright yellow on the interior and exterior relate to existing plaza furniture and accent items. Slatted ipe doors add warmth and mark the entries, and signage graphics bring a level of playfulness.
