Repurposing an existing structure in the heart of an urban campus provided an economical and sustainable solution to meet increasing demand for a safe, accessible and updated undergraduate instructional chemistry facility. Housed in the former Law School, built in 1974, this renovation included the complete gutting and abatement of approximately 180,000 SF of largely windowless space in the west tower of the existing structure.
