Earth Day 2025, Our Power, Our Planet invites all to unite behind renewable energy. Together AIA Charleston and Clemson is making the commitment to this Earth Action Day through education.
Jenny Heim, AIA, Sustainable Design Leader and Jeff Tiddy, AIA both practicing with McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture will present their practice & commitment to setting a standard for sustainable, resilient and inclusive design. The presentation will highlight our AIA Framework for Design Excellence.
Jenny Heim, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Fitwel Amb., is an Associate and Sustainable Design Leader at McMillan Pazdan Smith. Based in the Asheville, NC studio, Jenny supports projects and clients across the Southeast region. She has extensive experience in high-performance design, working on more than 35 LEED certified projects, several which are large campus projects, and dozens of other green building certifications, including multifamily, commercial, industrial, K-12, and higher education. She works to improve the pre-design/planning, design, construction, and post-occupancy of projects through the development and implementation of sustainable best practices, including embodied and operational carbon reductions, material health and wellness strategies, and high-impact design moves that elevate the user experience.Jeff Tiddy, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, is a Senior Associate and Project Architect at McMillan Pazdan Smith. Since joining the firm in 2004, Jeff has distinguished himself as a skilled designer with a special focus on environmental sustainability and high-performance building technology. He has led the design efforts for some of the firm’s most notable higher education projects, including Clemson University’s Lee Hall. Most recently, Jeff led the design for Greenville Technical College’s newest landmark building, the Prisma Center for Health and Life Sciences, a Two Green Globes Certified project which completed in August of 2024. Jeff’s ability to balance creative vision, technical expertise, and diligent project management has led to the success of such projects.
