From the Blue Ridge to the Coast, AIASC’s annual Resilience: By Design conference will be held on February 1, 2019 at the Madren Center.
This one-day “mini-conference” will allow architects from across the state and region to gather, learn, and discuss the vital role that architects play in Resiliency Planning and Design in communities and environments across our state. Conference sessions will focus design responses to issues including climate change adaptation, wild fires, tornadoes and other wind hazards. Keynote speaker Laura Lesniewski, AIA, a Principal at BNIM, will discuss her firm’s approach to “creating beautiful, integrated, living environments that inspire change and enhance the human condition.
