The theme focuses on resilience and sustainability in healthcare – broadly defined to include ecological/environmental, social, and operational resilience. It will explore the role that healthcare organizations and settings might play in resiliently supporting the health of their communities. The conference includes speakers who will address topics of resilience in response to natural and other disasters, lowering the carbon footprint of healthcare, inequity in access to healthcare, and the ever increasing pressures on the healthcare workforce.
