Talley & Smith Architecture, Inc. is an established (5) person Architectural Firm serving North & South Carolina for over (70) years, providing innovative and thoughtful design solutions, while remaining responsive to Client goals. This is a full-time on-site role for an Architectural Intern located in Shelby, NC. We pride ourselves on engaging in open, honest dialogue and partnering with Clients to share ideas and embrace their vision. Our primary focus areas include new and renovated commercial projects, church buildings, professional offices, and municipal facilities. Ensuring the success of each project is our top priority.
Role Description
The Architectural Intern will support the Architectural Team with day-to-day tasks such as CAD-drafting Architectural Designs, assisting in Project coordination, and contributing to production goals and schedules. The intern will also participate in team meetings, communicate with affiliated Sub-Consultants, and collaborate on various stages of project documentation and 3-D illustrations.
Qualifications
- Skills in Architectural design & detailing
- Experience in Autodesk 2-D CAD, Revit, & Photoshop
- Strong Communication skills
- Proficiency in relevant design software& project documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, or currently enrolled in an accredited Architecture Program.
Talley & Smith Architecture will report Intern’s hours through AIA/AXP Program, if needed.
