Columbia, SC – December 7, 2020 — The American Institute of Architects, South Carolina Chapter (AIASC) is pleased to announce the 2020 recipients of the annual AIASC Design Awards, which encourages and recognizes design excellence throughout South Carolina, and promotes public awareness of the role architects play in shaping the quality of life in their communities. This year’s awards ceremony was held virtually on December 3, 2020.
Jury Chair Frank Harmon, FAIA as well as fellow jury members: Dennis Stallings, FAIA, Sara Glee Queen, AIA, Edwin Harris, AIA, Bill Askey, AIA and Katherine McGurn, Assoc. AIA, all of North Carolina, presented awards for new construction, residential, interior architecture, adaptive reuse and student categories.
In addition, the AIASC Board of Directors conferred the Associate Award to Bria Wigfall, Assoc. AIA with LS3P in Columbia, and the Patron Award to Matt Sloan of the DI Development Company in Charleston.
