AIASC Announces 2023 Design & Chapter Award Recipients

13 winning projects in the categories of New Construction, Residential, Interior Architecture, Adaptive Reuse, and Student Projects

Columbia, SC – November 3, 2023 — The American Institute of Architects, South Carolina Chapter (AIASC) is pleased to announce the 2023 recipients of the annual AIASC Design Awards, which encourages and recognizes design excellence throughout South Carolina, and promotes public awareness of the role architects play in shaping the quality of life in their communities. This year’s awards ceremony was held at the South Carolina Center for Architecture on November 2, 2023.

Jury Chair Matt Seltzer, AIA, Principal with Archimania in Memphis, TN, presented awards for new construction, residential, interior architecture, adaptive reuse and student categories.

In addition, the AIASC Board of Directors conferred the following Chapter Awards:

  • 2023 Firm Award to DP3 Architects in Greenville, SC
  • 2023 Medal of Distinction to Jane Frederick, FAIA with Frederick + Frederick Architects in Beaufort, SC
  • 2023 Associate Award to Ali McClure, AIA with Craig Gaulden Davis in Greenville, SC
